Fenbendazole is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic widely used in veterinary medicine for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal parasites in cattle, sheep, goats, horses, swine, poultry, dogs, and cats. It acts by inhibiting microtubule formation through binding to β-tubulin, disrupting parasite metabolism and ultimately causing parasite death. Fenbendazole is effective against roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, lungworms, and certain tapeworm species.
