A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human study involving 74 participants evaluated 60 mg/day of MaquiBright® for four weeks. The MaquiBright® group demonstrated a significantly greater increase in lacrimal-fluid production than placebo and improvements in reported eye-fatigue and ocular symptoms.
An earlier clinical pilot study also investigated 30 mg and 60 mg daily supplementation over 60 days and reported improvements in tear-fluid volume and dry-eye-related quality-of-life measures.
