Sodium Citrate is the trisodium salt of citric acid with applications as an alkalizing agent, anticoagulant in blood collection, and buffering excipient in pharmaceutical formulations. It is also used to alkalinize urine in the treatment of renal tubular acidosis and uric acid urolithiasis. Mediocon Inc manufactures BP/USP-grade Sodium Citrate at its Aurangabad GMP facility.
